The City Veterinary Office is committed to promoting animal welfare, ensuring public health, and implementing effective rabies prevention and control measures in our community. In compliance with Ordinance No. 18-0001-2022 and Republic Act 9482 (Anti-Rabies Act of 2007), we provide the following services:

The Responsible Pet Ownership

Provincial Ordinance No. 005-2019 establishes guidelines for responsible pet ownership and rabies prevention in Albay. This ordinance supports Republic Act 9482 (Anti-Rabies Act of 2007) to protect public health and eradicate rabies in our province.
As a pet owner in Albay, you are required by law to:

Vaccinate Against Rabies

Keep Pets Under Control

Clean Up After Your Pet/s

Spay/Neuter Your Pet/s

Report Animal Bites Immediately

Failure to comply to the ordinance may result to the following

Penalties and Fines:

Failure to have their animal/s registered, immunized or vaccinated with anti-rabies (per animal)

₱ 5,000

Refuse to put animal/s under observation after biting an individual

₱ 2,000

Animal unleashed without litter catcher brought in public places

₱ 2,000

Urinate or defecate outside premises in public places

₱ 2,000

Stray or impounded animal/s shall be released upon payment (per day)

₱ 1,000

Trading of dog/s for meat (per animal)

₱ 5,000

Animal cruelty, maltreatment, neglect (per act)

₱ 3,000

Harass, resist, or assault enforcing authority (subject for imprisonment)

₱ 3,000

Intentional removal of dog tag/s

₱ 3,000

Stray dog/s causing vehicular accident — owner shoulders medical/burial

₱ 5,000

If you wish to adopt or reclaim your pet among the impounded animals, please visit the nearest barangay hall or the City Veterinary Office.

Submit and Wait for Verification
